Mojca Zlobko Vajgl
Mojca Zlobko Vajgl , harpist and professor at the Academy of music at the University of Ljubljana, she was one of the leading musicians of Slovenia with rich international career as soloist and chamber musician.
She graduated from the Music Academy in Ljubljana and completed postgraduate harp studies at the Academy of Music and Theater in Hamburg.
As soloist Mojca Zlobko Vajgl played with many prominent Symphonic orchestras as:
Slovenian philharmonic orchestra and Symphonic Orchestra RTVSlovenia, Philharmonic orchestra of Belgrade, Kiev, Sarajevo,Baku,Skopje,Wiener Concert Werein, Berlin Symphonie orchestra, Orchestre di Padova e del Veneto, Stockholm chamber orchestra and many others.
Being dedicated to chamber music, Mojca Zlobko Vajgl during the past years she played with the Leipzig string quartet, with international string quartet Orpheus, with slovenian string quartet Tartini and with many prominent international soloists as was solo flutist of Wienna philharmonic orchestra Dieter Flury and Tobias Lea – viola, concert master of Slovenian philharmonic Miran Kolbl, italian flutist Massimo Mercelli, latvian flutist Ilze Urbane, mezzosoprano Bernarda Fink etc.
She performed with many outstanding conductors like: Ulf Schirmer, Leopold Hager, Pavel Dešpalj, Tetsui Hona, Roberto Benzi, Israel Yinon, Evan Christ, Roman Kofman, Uroš Lajovic, Marcello Viotti, Karen Kamenšek, Rauf Abdulayev and Georg Pehlivanian.
Mojca Zlobko Vajgl performed at numerous international music festivals among others in Dubrovnik, Gabala, Schleswig Holstein, Emiglia Romagna, Ljubljana festival, Riga, Wienna, Ankara, Bahrain,Ohrid and many others places.
The musical critics praised in her interpretations her extraordinary musicality, technical perfection,broat spectrum of colours and outstanding articulation.
In cooperations bethween Mojca Zlobko Vajgl and prominent slovenian composers (Primož Ramovš, Ivo Petrić, Uroš Krek, Jani Golob, Aleš Strajnar, Milko Lazar), several original works fort he harp were created.
Mojca Zlobko Vajgl recorded 9 CDs covering a great part of the literature for her extraordinatry instrument for solo harp, chamber music and harp concerts with orchestra.
She is a professor for harp and chamber music at Music Academy of the University Lljubljana and she has been invited to be a member at harp competition in Austria and Poland.She also gave masterclasses and participated of the teachers in the framework of the EU Erasmus programm.
